On the 18th January, 2015, Charles died peacefully at home after a long illness bravely faced. In the summer of 2013, Charles had been diagnosed with cardio-myopathy, a disease that affects the function of the heart muscle, leaving Charles with severe heart failure. Cardio-myopathy affects thousands of families around the UK every year and it was Charles' wish that his family and friends raise money for the Cardio-Myopathy Association (CMA - www.cardiomyopathy.org). This is a cause that needs significantly more funding and support.
